Reggie Jackson leads roaring Pistons comeback in victory over Heat

Reggie Jackson scored 15 fourth quarter points in leading a raucous 99-98 Pistons comeback victory over the Miami Heat Saturday night.

After trailing by 15 points with 7:02 to play, the Pistons launched a furious comeback, closing the gap to one with under 30 seconds remaining.

Following a missed Dwyane Wade jump shot with under 10 seconds remaining, Jackson completed the comeback by reeling in the defensive rebound and racing the length of the floor for a go-ahead layup over the outstretched arms of Hassan Whiteside.

A last gasp shot attempt from Wade went begging, delivering victory to Detroit.

Jackson finished with 29 points (11-18) and 11 assists.

Key Notes & Observations

  • Daily Monster Andre Drummond Statline: 11 points, 17 rebounds (6 offensive)
  • Anthony Tolliver continued to thrive in place of the injured Greg Monroe, executing Van Gundy ball to perfection, scoring 15 points on 5-9 shooting from deep.
  • While Reggie Jackson’s 29 points and 11 assists were impressive, it’s worth noting he did commit eight turnovers.
