But, according to a report from Ian Rapoport, Lions GM Bob Quinn tried to get a deal done for Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman but when it came down to it, the Falcons decided they did not want to part ways with their starting running back.
An intriguing would-be trade that was heavily discussed over the past week, but didn’t end up happening: #Falcons RB Devonta Freeman to the #Lions. DET inquired, the sides talked about a possible deal at length, but ultimately, Atlanta just decided they didn’t want to trade him.

Running back is certainly a position of need for the Lions as starter Kerryon Johnson will be out until at least Week 16 with a knee injury.
Nation, does it make you feel better to know the Lions at least tried to get a deal done for a running back?
