According to a report from Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, the Detroit Lions have re-signed veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis. Alper says that he has information from a league source that it’s a two-year deal worth $3.5 million total, $2 million for this season.
Mathis was a key part of the highly ranked Lions defense last season as he started every game. The veteran had 51 tackles and one interception and was a leader of the Lions secondary.
