Within the past half hour or so the Detroit Lions took to Twitter to announce that they have signed quarterback David Blough to their 53 man roster.
Following the move, there was plenty of speculation on Twitter as to why the Detroit Lions decided to add a third quarterback to the roster.
Well, according to reports, the Lions added Blough to the active roster because the Dallas Cowboys tried to poach from the practice squad.
Had the Lions not promoted Blough, he would be a Dallas Cowboy.
Per a league source, the Lions signed David Blough to their active roster to match an offer from the Cowboys, who wanted to poach him off the practice squad.
