According to Howard Balzer, the Detroit Lions hosted free agent defensive tackle Al Woods for a tryout.

Woods, who is nearly 32, was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Since being drafted, Woods has played for the Buccaneers, Seahawks, Steelers, Titans, and most recently, the Colts. In eight seasons, he has 172 total tackles and 4.5 sacks in 111 games (43 starts)
