According to reports, the Detroit Lions have activated LB Steve Longa from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Removing Longa from the PUP when the Lions did is some pretty big news because it means he cannot be on the PUP to begin the season. If he were on the PUP to begin the season, Longa would be forced to miss the first 8 games before being eligible to return.
With this move, do not be surprised if Longa makes the team and is a key special teams player this coming season.
