Report: Detroit Lions cut WR Travis Fulgham

According to a report from Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions have released former sixth-round draft pick, Travis Fulgham.

Fulgham, who is 24, did not catch a pass with the Lions during his first and only season in the NFL.

Lions, Fulgham

To be honest, this move does not come as much of a surprise to me as I did not think Fulgham would end up making the 53-man roster out of training camp.

Nation, what do you think? Did the Lions make the right move by releasing Fulgham or do think he had the potential to be a part of their 53-man roster?

Projecting the Detroit Lions 53-man roster (Vol. 1)

*Originally published on 7/31/20

Detroit Lions training camp 2020 is officially underway! Well, at least the COVID-19 testing of the camp is underway as seven Lions players have already been added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

That being said, the hope is that all seven of those players (five who I think will make the 53-man roster) will go through the return protocol with no problems in time to get in some work before the regular season begins.

Though the Lions have not held a single padded practice, I thought it would be fun to take a premature look at what I think the 53-man roster will look like when camp breaks.

Here we go! (Don’t hold me to this!)
