According to Pelissero, the Detroit Lions intend to re-sign Thomas, who was released earlier today to make room for RB J.D. McKissic, who was claimed off waivers.

To say the last couple of days have been a whirlwind would be a HUGE understatement. The Lions currently have two tight ends on their roster (T.J. Hockenson and Jesse James) but you can bet they will have at least three by the time they take the field against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.
