According to Doug Kyed, the Detroit Lions could be a landing spot for safety Devin McCourty if he does not re-sign with the New England Patriots.
The Patriots and Devin McCourty's camp have been in contact, per source. Predictable teams — Dolphins, Lions, Giants — could be involved if he doesn't return.

McCourty, who will be 33 by the time the 2020 regular season starts, has played his entire 10-year career with the Patriots, which of course means he has ties to Lions HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn.
In 2019, McCourty had 58 tackles, 5 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.

Though I am generally not a huge fan of signing older free agents, McCourty, similar to Danny Amendola, would be a nice fit in Detroit on a 1-year deal.
