From Detroit Free Press:

Both Slay and Harrison sat out voluntary workouts and mandatory minicamp this spring, and it’s unclear whether they’ll report for training camp next week without new deals.

The players both forfeited workout bonuses of $250,000 to stay away from the team this offseason, and triggered fines of $88,650 by skipping minicamp. They stand to incur much more substantial fines of $40,000 a day if they miss training camp.

Both Slay and Harrison have two years remaining on their current contract and though they are both underpaid, the Lions usually do not hand out extensions in this situation.

Nation, should the Lions give Harrison and Slay contract extensions?
