On Tuesday, news broke that the Detroit Lions are bringing back both Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn for the 2020 season with an expectation the team contends for the playoffs.
Patricia and Quinn may be safe (for now) but according to reports, the same cannot be said for the rest of the coaching staff.

The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that both general manager Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia would be back next season. The Fords are mandating staffing changes for the offseason without singling any assistant coaches out.
One assistant who should certainly be feeling the heat is defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni, though he is not showing it.
Pasqualoni has been a popular target for fan frustration with his defense’s standing as one of the worst in the league. Detroit’s defense is just 844 yards from matching the franchise record for futility from 2008 with two games remaining. Despite the added heat to his seat, the defensive coordinator says he’s only focused on giving his “full, undivided attention to” the Denver Broncos.
“Well, to be perfectly honest with you, my concern right now is getting ready to play the Denver Broncos, and giving my full, undivided attention to this game,” Pasqualoni said during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday. “As you guys know, we have two games left. I’ve always looked at a season, regardless of if it’s college or the NFL as one-week seasons.”
