According to a report from Michael Rothstein, part of the Detroit Lions dead money for the 2019 season is a $50,000 settlement for a grievance to Robert Ayers.
Not sure if this has been out there — and might kind of solve an answer to a lingering question for a year, but among the Lions’ dead money this year is a $50,000 settlement for a grievance to….Robert Ayers.

If you recall, the Lions signed Ayers last season but he was mysteriously only with the team for one practice before being released.
We have tried to get to the bottom of this by reaching out to Ayers but is lips have been sealed about the situation. Who knows, maybe that was part of the deal???
