During the Detroit Lions Week 6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, rookie RB D’Andre Swift had the first breakout game of his career as he rushed for 116 yards on just 14 carries while scoring two touchdowns.
Now, according to a report from Ian Rapoport, Swift will have an expanded role in the Lions Week 7 matchup vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
“The Lions are going to start Adrian Peterson still at running back,” Rapoport said on NFL GameDay. “But keep an eye on D’Andre Swift. I am told he is going to have an expanded role on this offense after a breakout performance last week. Going to see much more of him.”
