The Detroit Lions are in the process of cutting their roster down to 53 and according to reports, DT John Atkins did not make the cut.
The Lions are planning to release DT John Atkins. Has a chance to come back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. He got a lot of good run during camp and played well.
