Report: Detroit Lions stopped giving max effort in recent games

The Detroit Lions pulled the trigger on a franchise altering pair of moves on Saturday, presenting maligned head coach Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn with their walking papers.

“Unfortunately, we haven’t won enough over the last three seasons,” team owner Sheila Ford-Hamp said in her statement following the announcement of the decision.

We’ve seen a parade of former Detroit Lions players publicly celebrate the firing of Patricia in particular. And while you can bet that no current player on the roster would admit to not giving full effort out of spite to Patricia, could there have been less than max effort?
