Ian Rapoport is reporting the Lions are giving up a conditional 6th round draft pick in return for Griffen. There are reports that this could become a fifth-round pick if certain plateaus are met.

Griffen was a Lions’ killer for years with the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Dallas Cowboys before the start of the 2020 season.

At 32 years old, Griffen has shown he still has some gas left in the tank as had has 2.5 sacks and 6 quarterback hits in 7 games with the Cowboys this season.

Is Griffen the player he was in 2017 when he racked up 13 sacks? No. But, he did have 8 sacks and 24 QB hits in 15 games with the Vikings in 2019 and he was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl.
