It just keeps piling on.
The Detroit Lions, already thin at the wideout position, could potentially be without WR Quintez Cephus for the rest of the 2021 season. According to a report from NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, the injury he suffered in the 2nd quarter of yesterday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings is a broken collarbone:
#Lions WR Quintez Cephus suffered a broken collarbone Sunday, source said.
It'll be an extended absence and potentially season-ending for Cephus, who has been a bright spot in Detroit's challenging start.

The second year receiver has 15 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns in the five games he appeared in this season for Detroit, one of their bright spots in the challenging 0-5 start.
“It looks like it’s in the shoulder front area,” head coach Dan Campbell said yesterday. “Could be his clavicle, could be his shoulder. But it doesn’t look good.”
This season has not been kind to the Lions, and it only gets tougher from here.
