It is not often that a high school football team forfeits a game that has already started but that is exactly what happened on Friday when Detroit King and Detroit Pershing squared off.
King, who is considered to be one of the top teams in the state, took just 14-seconds to score their first touchdown. Before long, the score was 27-0 and the King players were getting ready to kick the extra point. The only problem is, according to a report from thedzone.com, the Pershing squad refused to come back out onto the field and instead, forfeited the game.
“The teams are supposed to be lining up for an extra point and the Pershing team is refusing, just sitting on the bench. It’s 27-0 less than 7 minutes in, King has only run two offensive plays. This is going to be a forfeit in the most offensive excuse for a game I’ve ever seen.”

The wait is just about over as the Detroit Lions will take the field against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in less than a week.

The 49ers finished strong in 2017 and they are the sexy pick by many to take another step in 2018. That being said, with a trio of tough matchups on the horizon, this is a game the Lions have to win.

(L) WEEK 3 – vs. New England Patriots (Sunday Night Football)
Matt Patricia’s first matchup against his former team comes at Ford Field on Sunday Night Football. You can bet the fans will be loud and the team will be fired up but the Lions lose a close one.

(L) WEEK 4 – @ Dallas Cowboys
Personally, I do not believe the Cowboys will be a very good team in 2018. Unfortunately, the Lions will have to go on the road and that will spell trouble.
