REPORT: Detroit Red Wings’ GM Steve Yzerman set to promote good friend

The 2019 NHL Draft is officially in the book and now Steve Yzerman has been busy shaking up the Detroit Red Wings‘ front office.

After letting Tyler Wright go as Director of Ametuer Scouting, reports are that Yzerman will promote his good friend Kris Draper to the same position. Draper, who played 17 seasons for the Red Wings, currently has the position of special assistant to the general manager.
