According to reports, the Detroit Red Wings have placed G Eric Comrie on waivers.
On NHL waivers today: *Austin Czarnik (CGY), Eric Comrie (DET) and Stefan Noesen (PIT).

With Comrie gone, it is likely that the Red Wings are ready to bring back Jimmy Howard, who has been out with an injury.
Howard made one rehab start with the Grand Rapids Griffins and apparently, that was enough.
