With Ron Gardenhire deciding to retire, the Detroit Tigers will now conduct a search to find his replacement before the 2021 MLB season.
We have already mentioned plenty of candidates but one we have not mentioned is Los Angeles Dodgers' first base coach, George Lombardi.
According to a report from Jon Morosi, the Tigers are interested in speaking with Lombardi for their managerial vacancy but an interview has not yet been scheduled.
As noted by Morosi, Lombardi played for the Tigers in 2002.
