According to Ron Gardenhire, Detroit Tigers pitching coach Rick Anderson has left the team to tend to a family matter in Seattle. Gardenhire added that Anderson should be gone for about a week and that Jeff Pico will serve as pitching coach, with Juan Nieves joining the staff from Toledo.
Our prayers are that all go well for Anderson and that all is well with his family in Seattle.
