Report: Detroit Tigers showing interest in Doug Fister

According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, the Detroit Tigers have expressed interest in signing a familiar face, pitcher Doug Fister.

Fister, who is 31-years-old, started 68 games for the Tigers from 2011-2013 before being traded to the Washington Nationals. In 2014, the right-hander was 16-6 with a 2.41 ERA for the Nationals.

2015 was a different story altogether as Fister only went 5-7 with an ERA of 4.19 in 15 games started for Washington. Statistically speaking, it was Fister’s worst season since joining the big leagues in 2009.

What do you think Nation, is Fister worth taking a chance on once again, or are his best days behind him?
