Report: Former Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron not wanted by Indianapolis Colts

After being selected 10th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, tight end Eric Ebron eventually wore out his welcome in the Motor City.

To be fair, Ebron was not awful for the Lions and it was not his fault that Detroit was dumb enough to use a top 10 pick on a tight end.

That being said, dropped passes, coupled with disappearing in key situations did him in with Lions’ fans and the team and the sides parted ways following the 2017 season.

Prior to the 2018 season, Ebron found a new home with the Indianapolis Colts, where he played very well in his first season with the team as he was selected to play in the Pro Bowl.

Now, according to a report from Stephen Holder, Ebron is no longer wanted by the Colts as GM Chris Ballard has said the team is “probably moving on” from Ebron.

Following his Pro Bowl season in 2018, Ebron had just 31 catches for 375 yards and 3 TDs in 2019.

We wish Ebron the best of luck in the future.
