Report: Lions QB Matthew Stafford has fractured back, will not play vs. Bears

UPDATE:

According to Adam Schefter, Matthew Stafford is not expected to play today vs. the Bears.

FROM EARLIER

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford has appeared on the Injury Report for the past month or so with a hip issue. But as we know, Stafford has played through the pain and he has played extremely well.

Though it was no surprise to see Stafford on the Lions most recent Injury Report, it was a surprise to see him listed with an additional injury, his back.

Now, according to a report just released by Adam Schefter, Stafford is being told not to play because of the back injury, but he is hoping to play through the pain.

Earlier in the week, Stafford told reporters after practice that the back injury was not related to what he dealt with previously, and that he was fine.

On Saturday, a report surfaced that Stafford could be a true game time decision on Sunday, and it sounds like that could be the case.

Nation, do you think the Lions can escape Soldier Field with a big win over the Bears if Stafford does not play?
