REPORT: Michigan basketball loses top assistant coach

According to reports, former Michigan basketball assistant Luke Yaklich is leaving the Wolverines to accept a job with Texas.

Yaklich was hired by John Beilein prior to the 2017-2018 season to turn around the Wolverines’ defense and that is exactly what he did.

In his first season with the team, Yaklich led Michigan to the No. 6 scoring defense in the nation and he followed that up by coaching the Wolverines to the No. 2 scoring defense during the 2018-2019 campaign.
