Inside the Article:
Let's be clear about something. Nobody other than Jim Harbaugh (and maybe his wife) really knows where he will coach in 2023. Maybe he will stick around at Michigan, or he could decide to leave the Wolverines for the NFL. That being said, for Harbaugh to return to the NFL, an NFL team would actually have to offer him a job. But according to reports, that has not happened.
Michigan has NOT offered Jim Harbaugh a new contract
Well, Ono and Manuel may want Harbaugh to stay at UM, but according to a report from Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News, Harbaugh has not been offered a new contract from UM.
From The Detroit News:
But a source, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the matter, indicated there is no contract offer yet from Michigan.
“There’s nothing at all on the table, not even a napkin,” the source told The Detroit News.
Harbaugh could still receive an offer
Now, just because an offer has not yet been made to Harbaugh does not mean that one is not coming soon. In fact, after Ono tweeted what he did earlier today, it sure seems like an offer will be coming sooner than later. The question is, does Harbaugh take it?
Here is what Harbaugh said a week ago about the situation:
“While no one knows what the future holds, I expect that I will be enthusiastically coaching Michigan in 2023,” he said. “I have spoken with President Ono and Athletic Director Warde Manuel and appreciate their support of me and our program. Our mission as Wolverines continues, and we are preparing for the 2023 season with great passion and enthusiasm. As our legendary coach Bo Schembechler said, “Those Who Stay Will be Champions.”
Nation, where does Harbaugh coach in 2023?
