According to reports, Michigan State track athlete Tony Martin, 19, has been killed in a gas station shooting in Saginaw.
The shooting, which reportedly took place at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, also took the life of a 22-year-old man who was with Martin.
For those of you who follow high school track in Michigan, you probably remember Martin as he won the State Championship in the long jump in both 2018 and 2019.

Martin made his MSU debut Dec. 6 at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open, where he finished second place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.95 seconds. He had top-five finishes in the 60-meter and 200-meter sprints, finishing fifth with 7.00 seconds and fourth with 21.98 seconds, respectively.
