Report: New York Giants inquire about trade for Lions WR Kenny Golladay

When will Kenny Golladay sign a contract extension with the Detroit Lions?

This is the question everyone has been asking since the end of the 2019 season as Golladay is currently in the final year of his current contract.

Now, some are starting to ask, “will” Golladay sign a contract extension with the Lions at all?

If the Detroit Lions decided to move on from Golladay because he is demanding too much money, it would be wise for them to trade him to the highest bidder. (Note: Trading Golladay is a fireable offense in my opinion)

Well, if the Lions do decide to deal Golladay before the deadline, the New York Giants are reportedly interested.

According to ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan, the Giants have contacted the Lions about a trade for Golladay.

“I had heard something about this last week,” Raanan said on his Breaking Big Blue podcast. “There was at least some conversation about the Giants talking to the Lions about wide receiver Kenny Golladay. My understanding is that it did happen in some shape or form.”

Raanan added that there is no way this trade is going to happen and I agree.

“Forget the fact that the Detroit Lions aren’t trading anybody right now,” Raanan added. “They’re trying to win. Matt Patricia’s trying to save his job. He’s not trading his best offensive weapon.”

Sleep easy, Nation. This trade is not happening. Bob Quinn will come to his senses and give Golladay the extension he deserves.
