During the first half of Sunday’s game between the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears, something happened that ended up being a precursor of things to come for the Lions.
While talking to the referee and trying to explain what Bears RB David Montgomery was doing by lowering his head, Lions LB Jamie Collins accidentally (we assume) headbutted the ref with his helmet, resulting in his ejection from the game.

According to reports, the NFL has already reviewed the incident and Collins will not be suspended for his actions in Sunday’s loss to the Bears.
#Lions LB Jamie Collins won’t be suspended for the incident with an official that led to his ejection Sunday, I’m told.

This seems like it was a no-brainer call for the NFL to make. Unfortunately, the referee did not make a similar decision during Sunday’s game.
