Sayers, who was originally selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 4 overall pick in the 1965 NFL Draft, was an All-Pro in each of his first 5 seasons in the league. During his 7 year career (only played a total of 4 games in his final two seasons), Sayers rushed for 4,956 yards (5.0 yards per carry) and 39 touchdowns.
