Near the end of Saturday's game between the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs, a scary moment took place when Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin slammed Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha on his head.

The incident caused Mantha to leave the game and he has now been placed on Injured Reserve with what is being called an upper-body injury.
Following the injury, there has been speculation that Muzzin would end up being suspended by the NHL, but according to Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill, the league has looked at the play in question and they have decided not to take action.

Jeff Blashill says Anthony Mantha is on IR, will miss at least through Saturday game. Says NHL chose not to take action on Muzzin hit.
