Ever since the moment the first report surfaced that the New England Patriots may be willing to part ways with CB Stephon Gilmore, my mouth has been watering.
Gilmore, who is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, is 30 years old but he still has plenty of gas left in the tank and he could certainly help a Detroit Lions secondary that has struggled in 2020.

That being said, according to reports, Gilmore more has drawn interest from multiple teams but if one of those teams wants to land him, they are going to have to pay a hefty price.
According to a report from Dianna Russini of ESPN, the Patriots want a first-round pick AND a player in exchange for Gilmore.
After speaking with a few GMs around the NFL, I've learned multiple teams who have called the Patriots about CB Stephon Gilmore were told by New England they want a first round pick and a player in exchange for the 2019 AP Defensive Player of the Year.

I would love to see Gilmore in a Lions uniform but following their performance on Sunday against the Colts, I cannot see any reason for them to be buyers at the deadline and I definitely cannot see Bob Quinn giving up a first-round pick and a player for a 30-year-old CB with just one more year left on his contract (though he would be cheap in 2021).
Nation, would you give up a first-round pick and a player for Gilmore?
