Report: Pistons plan to build Isiah Thomas statue at LCA

According to Vince Ellis of Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Pistons are building a statue for legendary guard Isiah Thomas. Thomas is the Pistons all-time leading scorer and assist man and was the leader of the 1989 and 1990 ‘Bad Boys' Pistons that won back-to-back NBA Championships.

It is general consensus that Thomas is the greatest player in franchise history and one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. Throughout his career, ‘Zeke' was recognized for his greatness. In addition to being a two-time champion, Thomas won the Finals MVP in 1990, was a 12-time NBA all-star, making it every year from 1982 to 1993, winning the all-star game MVP twice, and making the All-NBA first team three times.

This will mark the first and maybe only (Pistons) statue that is erected at Little Caesars Arena, and there is nobody in the franchise's history that is more deserving.
