On Friday, McKenzie revealed that Pat Verbeek will be leaving the Tampa Bay Lightning to join Yzerman in Detroit.
Dropped very casually in today's Bobcast, @TSNBobMcKenzie said that Pat Verbeek will be leaving Tampa Bay to join Yzerman as his right-hand man in Detroit.

The feeling is that Verbeek, who is currently Lightning Assistant General Manager, will assume the same role with the Red Wings.
Verbeek, who played RW with the Red Wings for two seasons (1999-2001), scored 37 goals and dishing out 41 assists in 135 games.
He also served as a scout for the Red Wings for four seasons before heading to Tampa Bay to join Yzerman.
