The Detroit Red Wings are going to be in the market for goaltending assistance this offseason, as long-tenured veteran Jimmy Howard, who won't be back with the team.
And while there are several options for GM Steve Yzerman to consider, one source has indicated that they may already have their target in sight.

According to TSN host Jason Gregor, the Red Wings are expected to “make a big pitch” to bring hulking Swedish goaltender Jacob Markstrom to the Motor City:
The 6'6 Markstrom went 23-16-4 with the Vancouver Canucks this past season, and has played in 272 career games with the Canucks and Florida Panthers. He's expected to be among the more coveted free-agent goaltenders to be sought after.
Is this the goaltender you'd like to see in Detroit's crease next season alongside Jonathan Bernier?
