REPORT: Steve Yzerman makes first coaching staff cut as Detroit Red Wings’ GM

According to reports, Steve Yzerman has made his first coaching staff cut since taking over as Detroit Red Wings general manager.

Frank Seravalli is reporting that the Red Wings have decided not to renew the contract of assistant coach Pat Ferschweiler, who had spent the last four seasons on the bench with head coach Jeff Blashill.
