2020 was an absolute disaster for the Detroit Lions as they ended up firing head coach Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn before eventually finishing the season with a 5-11 record, which was good enough for another last-place finish in the NFC North.
As far as replacing Quinn goes, the Lions are already knee-deep in the process as they have completed interviews with seven different candidates and have meetings set up with multiple others in the coming weeks.
According to Mike Stone of the Stoney and Jansen Show on 97.1 The Ticket, the Lions are looking to make a monumental splash with their general manager hire as they have reached out to Pittsburgh Steelers GM, Kevin Colbert.
Stone noted that it is unlikely Colbert will leave the Steelers but since he works on 1-year contracts, the Lions would not have to give up anything to get him.
Personally, I would be absolutely shocked if the Lions were able to poach Colbert from the Steelers. That being said, everybody has a price, right?
Nation, do you think there is any chance that Colbert would return to his old stomping grounds, or is this the pipe dream of all pipe dreams?
