Report suggests Dan Campbell has privately challenged Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff

When the Detroit Lions acquired Jared Goff as part of a trade package from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Matthew Stafford, the hope was that he would at least be a serviceable bridge until a franchise QB could be obtained.

As the season has gone on and Goff has continued to struggle, there has been more and more chatter about the Lions parting ways with him before his contract is up, or at a minimum, sign or draft a QB to challenge Goff for the starting job in 2022.

According to a Jeff Howe of The Athletic, Lions head coach Dan Campbell has privately challenged Goff to play better.

Coach Dan Campbell has publicly and privately challenged Jared Goff to play better. The Lions should be in the mix for a quarterback in the draft and maybe even a second-tier veteran QB to push Goff.

Nation, how do you think this plays out? Will Goff turn things around enough for the Lions to roll with him as the starter in 2022?
