The Detroit Lions are in the midst of interviewing candidates for their head coach opening and San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is not only the fan-favorite but he is the odds on favorite to land the job.
According to the Lions, they completed their first interview with Saleh on Thursday but according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, that interview did not go well.
“Saleh did not do very well in the Detroit interview, I was told. And is not a shoo-in to get the job” Wilson said in an interview with Houston radio program The A-Team with Wexler & Clanton.
It is important to keep in mind that plenty of “reports” that come out during coaching searches turn out to be false, but this is a report nonetheless.
