Despite an earlier report via 97.1 The Ticket, it appears the brakes need to be pumped.
According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer Gerry Dulac, the Lions haven’t received the Steelers’ blessing to speak with Kevin Colbert regarding their general manager vacancy.

Colbert agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Steelers last February. Their season came to a close Sunday night with a Wild Card playoff loss to the Cleveland Browns.
