Report: Two more teams interested in Tigers Justin Verlander

If the Detroit Tigers are going to successfully trade Justin Verlander before the MLB trade deadline, they will almost certainly have to pay some of his remaining contract. The question is, will doing that be enough to get a team to bite on the aging veteran.

According to Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press, the Milwaukee Brewers have expressed interest in Verlander while the defending World Series Champion Chicago Cubs are “monitoring the situation.”

Earlier today, a report surfaced that the Houston Astros were also still interested in the long-time Tigers ace, but their interest now seems to be limited.
