Report: Wisconsin chancellor gives conflicting update on 2020 Big Ten football

We still don't know if we will get a chance to watch Big Ten football in 2020 but IF we do, it sounds like Michigan and Michigan State WILL be playing. This comes after a report surfaced earlier on Monday that the Wolverines and Spartans would sit the season out if the rest of the Big Ten decided to play.

The Detroit News is reporting that Wisconsin chancellor Rebecca Blank told reporters on Monday that if there is a 2020 Big Ten football season, every team in the conference will be on board.

“I will say we're all going to move together in the Big Ten,” Blank said during the teleconference, audio of which The Detroit News received and reviewed.

“We're all going to play or not if we possibly can.

“This isn't going to be a school-by-school thing.”

Blank noted that a vote will take place sometime this week and that six “nay” votes will have to flip in order to play football in 2020.
