In his first two seasons as head coach of the Detroit Lions, Matt Patricia has a record of 9-18-1.
Beacause if his slow start, many have questioned whether or not Patricai should get a third year with the Lions or if it’s time for the organization to cut their losses.
John Clayton of the Washington Post believes that Patricia is one of eight NFL head coaches who are currently on the hot seat:
From Washington Post:
Matt Patricia, Detroit Lions: The Thanksgiving loss to the Chicago Bears continued the Lions’ trend under Patricia of losing close games in the fourth quarter. They have seven one-possession losses this season.
Maybe it’s unfair to fire a coach after two seasons when he’s missing Matthew Stafford at quarterback in the season half of this season. But Patricia is 9-18-1 since getting the job.
Nation, does Patricia deserve to be on this list?
