Reporter suggests Detroit Lions could move on from coordinator

Leading up to Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell made it clear that he was going to be more hands-on with the offense.

Well, Campbell was certainly more hands-on as he actually took over the play-calling duties from offensive coordinator, Anthony Lynn.

Following the game, Campbell said that it was a collaborative effort to call the plays but Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press seems to believe that the Lions could move on from Lynn as their OC.

From Detroit Free Press:

Lions coach Dan Campbell handled offensive play-calling duties Sunday for the first time this season. Sure, Lynn still helped coordinate the offense, and Campbell insisted the play calling was a collaborative effort. But OCs who lose their play-calling duties don’t tend to last long in their role, and Lynn’s future is now clearly in doubt.

Nation, do you think Lynn’s days are numbered as the Lions’ offensive coordinator?

What do you think?
