Reports indicate Detroit Lions finalizing deal with kicker Randy Bullock

The Detroit Lions lost veteran kicker Matt Prater yesterday to the Arizona Cardinals, and moved quickly to find a replacement.

They’re finalizing a deal with former Cincinnati Bengals kicker Randy Bullock:

While playing collegiately at Texas A&M, he was recognized as the best college football kicker in the nation and a consensus All-American, scoring 365 points in 46 collegiate games. He would then be drafted by the Houston Texans in 2012.

He’s also seen time with the New York Giants, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers. While with the Bengals in 2019, he nailed a field goal from 59 yards, the longest in team history.

He has a career field goal percentage of 83.2%, making 168 of 202 attempts.
