The louder the crowd, the tougher it is for the opposing offense not only to call their plays at the line of scrimmage but to get into a rhythm. When it comes to sports, home-field advantage is a very real thing.
The main reason for the home-field advantage in the National Football League is the crowd. In an NFL football game, a loud and rowdy crowd can make all the difference in the world for the home team. This is especially true when the home team is on defense. How many times have you a team forced to use a timeout or take a delay of game penalty just because the fans were so loud?
On Thursday, Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois spoke to the media and he had a request for the fans that will be in attendance on Sunday to watch the Lions take on the Seattle Seahawks. He made it extremely clear that he wants the fans to be as loud as possible and that they can worry about their voices on Monday.
Here is a video of his comments.
“Worry about your voice on Monday. But on Sunday, we need you there.”

Detroit Lions’ players tell rookie RB, ‘Kerryyoasson to a barber shop!’
One of the brightest surprises for the Detroit Lions this season has been rookie running back, Kerryon Johnson.
So far in six games, Johnson has rushed for 444 yards on 69 carries (6.4 ypc) and he has looked much more like a veteran RB than a rookie.
Johnson’s teammates love him and they definitely love the job he is doing on the field, but apparently, they do not love his hair.
