Richard Hamilton will go down as one of the greatest Detroit Pistons ever. On Sunday, his No. 32 jersey was retired by the Pistons and was raised to the rafters.
During his time in Detroit, Hamilton and his ‘Goin’ to Work’ Pistons brought us countless memories, including the best memory of all, a World Championship in 2004.
One of the best parts of attending a game at The Palace during those years was the introductions by Pistons PA announcer, John Mason. The enthusiasm he brought to the table has been unmatched.
Let’s take a look and listen as Mason introduces Richard “Rip” Hamilton one final time at The Palace of Auburn Hills. As you will see, Hamilton was very emotional as Mason was announcing him prior to having his jersey retired.
