2020 is expected to be pitcher Jordan Zimmermann‘s final year with the Detroit Tigers, and it's already off to a less-than-stellar start.
Per skipper Ron Gardenhire, the team will be evaluating Zimmermann after he was held out of his scheduled action today with forearm soreness, a condition that forced him to miss time last season.
“We’re going to slow him down and check him out and go from there,” Gardenhire said. “It is a worry, but we’ll let the doctors look at him and go from there.”
Zimmermann signed a 5 year, $110 million deal with the Tigers before the 2016 season, but has vastly underperformed.
