Earlier this week, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said the team would be wearing their popular throwback uniforms when they take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon. It will be the final home game for the Lions this season, and if the latest rumor that is floating around about a Detroit Lions uniform change proves to be true, we have already seen the current Lions’ home uniforms for the final time.

Is a Detroit Lions uniform change coming in 2023?
The Lions were actually eligible to make a change to their uniforms following the 2021 season, but back in March, team president Rod Wood spoke to reporters and said no changes would happen for the 2022 season. Wood did add that the Lions had already begun exploring the possibility of a uniform for the 2023 season.
Well, if the latest rumor that has surfaced is true, then it is likely that there will be changes to the Lions’ uniform for the 2023 season.
According to Detroit Lions News on Facebook, an NFL source has indicated that the Lions have submitted paperwork to make changes to their uniform for the 2023 season.
“Per NFL Source, The Lions have submitted paperwork to the NFL to redo their uniforms. The prevailing thought is the Lions will be combining their current throwbacks with their current Lions logo with a modern twist on the jersey that would look similar to the Sims/Sanders years.”

Now, this is still 100% rumor, but considering what Wood has said in the past, it seems almost certain that a change is coming.
Nation, what changes would you like to see the Lions make to their uniform?
